Directions to Terralsole from Montalcino
- Start at the main roundabout at the top of Montalcino, where you’ll see the Fortezza on your right.
- From the roundabout, take the road towards Castelnuovo dell’Abate. This will be a sharp left turn if you’re coming from Siena.
- Note: The official name of the road is “della Badia di Sant’Antimo” (SP 55), though it may not be clearly marked.
- Continue driving for 3.4 km. You’ll pass Agriturismo Piombaia and La Croce. After two curves, make a slight left onto Strada dei Barbi.
- Follow signs for Fattoria dei Barbi, Museo dei Brunello, and Podernuovi. Pass Fattoria dei Barbi and continue straight for 2.5 km.
- At the Y-junction, stay to the right, following the dirt road. You’ll pass Azienda Agricola San Polo.
- After 500 meters, the road will start descending. Take a left turn to stay on the road, and you’ll find the entrance to Terralsole on your left.
