At Terralsole, when a vineyard has something truly special to express, we create a limited number of Single Vineyard Crus—Brunellos made exclusively from the grapes of a single vineyard. This approach allows us to celebrate the distinctive characteristics of each terroir, capturing the unique essence of our two sites: Vigna Pian Bossolino and Vigna Fonte Lattaia. By bottling these individual expressions, we offer a deeper understanding of Montalcino’s diverse microclimates and soil compositions, highlighting what makes each vineyard remarkable.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Pian Bossolino
Located on the cooler, southeastern slopes of Montalcino, Vigna Pian Bossolino is known for producing wines of remarkable elegance and finesse. The vineyard’s higher elevation and limestone-rich soils allow for slow, even ripening of Sangiovese Grosso, resulting in a Brunello with vibrant acidity, delicate floral aromas, and refined structure. The purity and precision of this vineyard’s terroir come through in every sip, offering a wine that is graceful, balanced, and perfect for long-term aging.
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Vigna Fonte Lattaia
On the warmer southwestern slopes of Montalcino, Vigna Fonte Lattaia produces a bold, powerful Brunello. The clay-rich soils and sunny exposure bring out deep fruit flavors—ripe dark cherry, plum—and earthy, savory undertones. Known for its robust structure and firm tannins, Fonte Lattaia delivers a wine with impressive depth and complexity, ideal for those who appreciate a more intense expression of Sangiovese Grosso.
